The polychrome majolica tondo depicting Medusa is one of the most important works in the Mazza collection kept at the Pesaro Civic Museums. Francesca Banini recounts the terrible accident of which the author of the work, ceramist Ferruccio Mengaroni, was a victim in 1925 during the staging of the “Biennial of Decorative Arts” in Monza.
